LiveStation now open for general public trial

LiveStation just updated their website. You can now signup and trial the new streaming P2P application. A new version of the client (1.0.63.2) is also available for download. LiveStation has not published yet a list of changes for this release.

LiveStation will offer a wide range of radio and television channels. The emphasis will be on quality as much as quantity. That means national networks, not just special interest services.

Joost just reached a new milestone

On August 31st Joost hit a major milestone. Joost currently has more than 10,000 video Programs in its database. Those programs are distributed between 237 Channels.

Joost beta client version 0.12.0 has been seeded

You can now download Joost beta client 0.12.0.

The biggest change in this release is the fact that Mac users will now benefit from much smoother video playback. Until now some Mac users had issues with “jerky” video playback.

This new release has fixed the problem and video now play as smooth as the Windows version.

Finally, Joost is going to address the shortcomings of it’s current user interface. Let face it, the current interface lack the web 2.0 look we have grown to expect from new IPTV interface.

Just a quick post to let you know that Joost 0.10.9 just got released. Only major change in this release is some video playback improvement. Nothing major.

The new 0.10.8 client is now available on the Joost web download site. This version fixes some unknown issues. You can download the beta clients directly by following the following links:
