WBTV close to Hulu deal

“Friends” could soon be buddying up to Hulu.

Warner Bros. Television is in active negotiations with the News Corp.-NBC joint-venture to make a slew of WBTV content available on Hulu, execs confirmed Friday.

“It’s more likely than not that we’re going to make a deal,” WB Television Group president Bruce Rosenblum said in an interview.

Much of the content would probably come from the studio’s library, an area in which it controls far more rights, though some newer shows could also make their way on to the site.
