Encode360 on a release roll
Not sure if you know about encode360. If you don’t… maybe you should. Encode360 was born about a year ago after Microsoft added support for WMV streaming to the XBOX 360.
Encode360 was the natural evolution of a method involving VLC and DOS batch files. SInce then it has evolved to be one of the easiest… yet most powerful solution to convert from many video type (like, XVID, DIVX, h.264, FLV, etc) to WMV. It will convert any video format that can be decoded by a directshow filter.
Dan Cunningham just released beta 0.6a3. If you need to encode to WMV 7,8,9 format then try this free application.
Here is what one user has to say about the application:
I just want to say thanks and show you some gratitude for all the hard work that you’ve put into this project. I’ve searched endlessly for a simple way to transcode files from divx/xvid to wmv. I’ve tried several complicated methods with varying degrees of success. You presented an elegant yet powerful piece of software which has exceeded my expectations. I look forward to each new build of the program.
Great Job and thanks again.
