Following Joost, Babelgum, the fledgling Internet TV network, today announced an agreement to broadcast programming and dance music from Ministry of Sound TV (MoSTV). MoSTV focuses exclusively on the dance music scene and in addition to its regular programme, the company will be delivering content from this summer’s Ibiza season on Babelgum.
Exclusive interviews, original features and festival coverage will be complimented by live streams from the Ministry of Sound club and over 500 dance music videos. Whilst the mainstream can always find a place on the traditional broadcast platforms, Babelgum provides niche content owners with a global platform to deliver in broadcast quality,” said Erik Lumer, chief executive of Babelgum in a prepared statement.
It will be interesting to compare video quality between Joost and Babelgum… I personally think that Joost video quality is lagging a bit. Competition is good! Now, if only Babelgum could come up with a Mac client… right?
