In an unexpected turn of event the solution to current problems with Joost network access is via a client side upgrade:

New 0.9.2 Beta out – 0.9.1 off the air.

We’ve got a new 0.9.2 ready for you – as you likely noticed your old 0.9.1 is no longer working.

Our apologies for this – but this is all part of being in beta.

We had a problem because we use SSL technology (certificates) to protect your privacy. Once every other year or so – one needs to renew these certificates. That moment came, for the first time in our existence, yesterday. Unfortunately we had a copy of the certificate hardwired into the 0.9.1 client.

Hence this new 0.9.2 build.

We’ve also taken the opportunity to upgrade all our Long Term Storage Machines. They are more than 4 times as efficient now – so if you had any stuttering in the past – do try again and tell us if it worked or so we know what improvement to focus on next.
